Made some changes to the name of the Blog. Its now Aschenbecher's Blog , simple.
Aschenbecher is my callsign in my German Virtual Unit called Panzer Battalion 911 (http://www.steelbeasts.eu/).
I am Aufklärungs und Verbindungszug (AVZ) which means Recce and Support.
We conduct daily drills and exercises using Steelbeasts Pro PE which is very accurate Armour Combat tactical simulator. This is not a game so don't buy it if your looking for easy gaming , this is next big thing to real Tank warfare you will ever get. If your just a Gunner or a Grand Tactician ,its got something for almost all of you Armour and Tank freaks out there.
Whats great is that the price tag of $120 USD on the civilian version of this Sim keeps the gamer kids away.
Oh and heres a link from PzBn 911 Briefing before a battle scenario. its in German but there are English versions of different battles from Different units on You tube.
The sim is currently in use by Army's of many country including Australian,US,Spanish etc. The sim is great as it does not require large investment on hardware, just a P4 Desktop with Good graphics card. LAN or Internet is required for Multi user training and practice.
