The Indian defence Blog by Shiv Aroor.

Hi I've been reading and visiting Shiv Aroor’s Indian Defence blog by Shiv Aroor (livefist.blogspot.com) for some time now. Most of the time his posts have been good and consistent. However this time he managed to bring his credibility down by posting some fake pictures of Indian military exercise on his blog.

The exercise in question is the recently held “Sudarshan Shakti” in western India.

The exercise had Arjun , T-90 and BMP2’s conducting joint ops together.

What Shiv has done is post “Exclusive Pictures” of this exercise which he claims he got from MOD. Here is the link to the two pages

I don't doubt that he may have received some or all of these pictures from MOD.

But what's wrong with these picture ? well if Mr.. Arror had done any research then he would have known that the following picture posted on his blog are actually pictures from a Indian Army exercise “Brazen Chariots” held in 2008.

Now I don't know if Mr..Aroor had tried to pass old pictures as new or did someone at MOD screwed up, All i know is that Mr.. Aroor should have done some research. Nevertheless Mr. Aroor don't have any credibility left in my book.

Hyderabadi Traffic Police wallas

More rant from me. This time the great Hyderabadi Traffic police wallas did it.

What ? well i was riding my scooter going towards the flyover from clock tower.

I was pulled over by a cop standing on the side of the road. I have no problem with this.

So after i got off my scooter , the cop asked me for my papers , I had all the papers except the pollution check card.

For this the cop told me there will be a challan (ticket) for Rs.350 i agreed , I am willing to pay the fine i told him , he looked at me funny then told me to talk to his superior.

So i walked over to the senior officer. Told him i am missing my pollution check card. He stated that I'll have to pay a fine of Rs.350.

I said ok and i asked him to issue me a Challan(Ticket) for the same.

However , he suggested that i should just pay him Rs.100 as he didn't want me to be at a bigger loss.

I insisted that i want to be issued a Challan(Ticket) for the Rs.350 he continued to argue with me. He even suggested i should go to a nearby ATM and get Rs.100.

We argued for next 15 minutes , he continued to insist i give him Rs.100 and i continued to insist he issues me a Challan(Ticket) for Rs.350.

Finally he suggested i should leave. So i did. Next time i am going to record everything on my phone camera.

ICICI Bank – Most Retarded bank in India.

Why ? well my company has a corporate account in our local ICICI Bank.
I had to wire money via NEFT to my CSA, its was only Rs5000/-.
Under normal circumstances all you have to do is log into your ICICI bank online and register the beneficiary as payee using their bank details and MIRC code. Easy enough ? yes but only if your beneficiary has a account in another bank other then ICICI.
If its ICICI then you have to download a form , fill it with your beneficiary's account details. Print it on your letterhead , sign it, put your company stamp and seal on it. Scan it and mail it to ICICI bank customer care.  Its like they are punishing us for having a account in ICICI bank.
So its freaking easy to send money to people who don't have account in ICICI bank and if they do you have to jump over hoops to do it.
On top of that when i scanned and emailed the form to their customer care. It bounced back with a “your mail is rejected due to oversize”
The attachment was not even 1mb.
ICICI bank is as bad as another retarded government bank in India.
I guess its so big that the people in the top don't even realize how inefficient it has become.
You know what ?
I sure am not going to buy stocks of ICICI bank. Caus i doubt future of a company which is as messed up as ICICI bank.

American Lady taking part in India against corruption in Hyd.

I went to India against corruption protest in Hyderabad on 17th Aug 2011. I was there more to satisfy my curiosity rather take part in craziness. Don't get me wrong, i do support peaceful protest to end corruption. or the law to control and punish those who are corrupt.

anyway this protest was not too different except in one detail where this Young American lady sang a old 60's hippie song "We shall overcome".

This lady's name is Kim Walters, she is in Hyderabad conducting research. She is Psychosocial Anthropologist.
